OUR DIRECTORS
Born in 1968 in London, England to Jamaican parents from Black River, St Elizabeth and Lawrence Tavern, Saint Andrew, Owen Dwyer grew up and was educated in England. After completing an engineering apprenticeship with British Rail, serving five years total employment and training in all aspects of electrical and mechanical engineering he went on to obtain a BSc (Hons) Degree in Engineering Business Development. With a desire for design, he obtained the prestigious City & Guild 2400 in Electrical Design, Erection and Verification.
He then started his own NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors) certified electrical design, installation and inspection company. This formed the stepping stone to his international design, commissioning and project management consultancy work on world-wide projects where he focused on special hazards, mostly in nuclear and thermal power-plants. In addition, he worked on the installation of photo voltaic panels, lead acid back-up batteries and petrol/diesel generator sets in rural Spain, UK and Afghanistan. As a consultant for the largest international special hazard fire protection company in the world, he also worked in Jamaica which he regarded as home. With many years of overseas working experience at the highest level, he saw a need for Jamaican companies to possess the ability to work with international companies at the same level.
With dual British and Jamaican citizenship he set about starting up a Jamaican company. Aided by experience of coordinating projects in Jamaica he identified talented local individuals working under him who he considered to be an asset to a strong company based in Jamaica.
On the 5th December 2016 the company Envisage Future Energy Limited was registered for solar system design and Installation, and a sub company trading as Envisage Fire Protection for special hazard fire protection systems design, installation and servicing.
Born during early 1980 in Darliston, Westmoreland, Linval Smalling grew up to attend Petersfield Comprehensive School. On finishing school, he worked as a trainee electrical engineer. Over the years he gained a vast amount of experience in electrical, fire and security alarm systems. He acquired factory and in-house training on Honeywell and Siemens Fire Alarm and Building Control Systems. With his natural leadership skills he grew to become a respected site foreman and project supervisor.
With a desire to continually improve and increase his knowledge in special hazard fire protection Linval travelled to Trinidad to be trained and certified on Range Guard Kitchen Suppression, Wet Chemical and Industrial Dry Chemical systems from portable to fully automatic, including hazard analysis, code requirements, design, installation and maintenance practice. Linval also acquired site based knowledge of Simplex fire alarm system, sprinkler installations, CCTV and access control systems.
